CLASSES ARE HELD IN PERSON AND ONLINE VIA ZOOM it’s your choice!

**Please Note that this year our location is moving to the Sacramento region of Fair Oaks, California.

This course is taught from the basis of Ayurvedic traditions. While western herbal approaches and herbs are the main focus, we apply the Ayurvedic energetics to the uses of herbs, and include some Ayurvedic herbs.  Healing is regularly based on the Ayurvedic approach, and diet and lifestyle is always considered.

Campout weekends are a lot of fun and can be different each year. In past years, we have really loved camping near the Sierra buttes.

In this course, we work through the systems of the body,  covering anatomy and physiology, the major diseases of that system, and herbs and formulas that benefit it.  Some topics covered are:

Digestive System

Respiratory System

Nervous System

Musculoskeletal System

Cardiovascular System

Immune System

Women's & Men’s Health

Endocrine System

Plant Energetics

Plant Identification

Flower Essences

The art of Formulation

Medicine Making

Ethical Wildcrafting

Because this class is based in Ayurvedic medicine, a foundation in the understanding of Ayurveda is provided. Ayurvedic topics include:

Understanding the doshas & subdoshas

Dinacharya

Ayurvedic medicine making

Mantras are used and shared regularly in this class. In order to receive certification, a final test is required along with a plant collection of 75 plants. Classes are held Wednesday evenings and one weekend a month.
